No Fizz, No Fun. A Refreshing Brand Design for Gen Z’s Carbonator.

Context

The Maltese company flav& develops products and services centered around CO₂ (carbon dioxide). With flav&soda, the first sub-brand launches its entry into the market, offering carbonators, CO₂ cylinders, and syrups for Gen Z – a young, health-conscious, and confident target audience. flav& deliberately positions itself outside the established brands, standing out from the crowd through its products and its pricing strategy.

Approach

In line with the iconic product design defined by rounded forms, we developed a dynamic and bold brand identity. The flav&soda brand is brought to life through vibrant colors and shapes, friendly typography paired with a fresh, energetic tone of voice, and a playful motion concept. The guiding theme of carbonation serves as the central design idea and runs consistently across all touchpoints, from packaging to Instagram posts.

Approach

The core idea behind flav& is derived from the sensory taste points on the tongue. For flav&soda, these colorful points transform into sparkling bubbles, connecting flavor and hydration into a distinctive and bold design language.

We not only had the opportunity to bring the flav&soda brand to life but also to help shape the color palette of the “Fizz Maker”. The result is a vibrant product portfolio that pops in any kitchen. The products are showcased in a tonal environment that presents these modern items in an iconic, standout way.

Colorful, playful, yet clean in design – this concept defines flav&soda’s brand presence. High-quality 3D visuals of the Fizz Maker and a bold tone of voice put the product front and center, making the brand tangible and engaging.

To accelerate the market launch, we built the webshop on a Shopify template, translating the elements of the design system interactively into the digital space. A striking hero header draws users into the brand, seamlessly blending UX with brand experience.
